To avoid a kitchen nightmare, our fire suppression systems are just the recipe
In an environment where speed is critical and flammable, hot liquids are numerous, the risk of fire can be extremely high. When this is combined with transient staff and demanding working conditions the risk factor can quickly escalate. In kitchens where extraction systems go through the building or in the case of multi-occupancy sites, go through numerous buildings, the results of fire can be catastrophic.
Nobel’s K-Series kitchen fire suppression systems are designed to meet the harsh realities of the commercial kitchen. Manufactured in stainless steel, with complete monitoring and reporting of critical functions and automatic actuation the system ensures staff don’t have to approach the fire and are always made aware of its operational integrity. Uniquely, Nobel also offer extended ductwork protection, stopping a kitchen firepotentially resulting in total building loss.
About the system
The K-series system is a wet chemical fire suppression system specifically designed for use in commercial kitchens. The wet chemical is stored in unpressurised vessels which are loaded with a detonation device, similar to those used in airbag technology. When a fire is detected by a sensor, the detonator will employ and will pressurise the system, thus allowing the wet chemical liquid to flow through the pipework and suppress the fire at source.
The K-system is an attractive option due to its aesthetic appearance; the stainless steel pipework & nozzles are carefully designed to ensure that the K-system blends into its surrounds and adheres to the strict hygiene requirements of the kitchen.
The K-system is an electrical system and thus can be monitored for fault conditions, providing users with total confidence in the operational integrity of the system.
